Volunteering with the churchyard conservation task team

Everyone is welcome to help and you don’t have to be religious or a church goer. As long as you are fairly fit and active there’ll be something for you to do. Volunteering is a good way to keep fit and active and you don’t need any specialist skills, just enthusiasm and a willingness to help conserve nature and heritage. You’ll get the chance to be involved in a variety of conservation tasks, gaining experience and learning new skills.

If you’re unsure give us a call or email and we can answer your questions.

What we will offer

We will give you training and guidance so you can do the tasks safely and provide any tools or protective equipment you’ll need. We run regular dry stone wall and scything training courses so you can learn to do those. If you have to travel we’ll reimburse your expenses. If you don’t have transport or can’t get to our task days we can arrange a lift for you.
