Using the Community Payback Scheme; St Edward's, Knighton, Powys

St Edward's in Knighton had a lime mortar wall which collapsed a while ago.  The PCC contacted the local Community Payback Scheme who repaired the wall under the guidance of a trainer.  They worked hard and found the work really rewarding.

The Strettons Area Community Wildlife Group were looking for an interesting projet within their local area.  Over the course of spring and summer 2014 they surveyed 8 churchyards and 1 cemetery.

Getting Better Known Locally; St Michael's Church, Troedyraur, Ceredigion

St Michael's Church Troedyraur, Ceredigion is remote and not within a village.  The PCC wanted to let local people know about it an involve more volunteers.  They ran a public meeting with an expert speaker - the county archivist.

Involving the Whole Community in Fund Raising & Work Parties; St Ishmael's, Pembrokeshire

St. Ishmael's Church is near to the village of St. Ishmael in rural Pembrokeshire.  Through a variety of fun and interesting fund raising activities the PCC generated money and also volunteers.

Creative Ways of Involving People; St John's, Hope Bagot, Shropshire

For the last 20 years Stourbridge Ramblers have visited the church in Hope Bagot, Shropshire annually.  They help the villagers with a morning of practical tasks including raking up hay in the churchyard after the annual cut.  This is followed by a shared lunch and a game of croquet.
