Webinar – The Stories Behind the Stones: What memorials can teach us about our ‘Ancestors’

Our burial grounds are open air history books, with each monument telling the story of a life or family in the community, and a brilliant starting point for more research. This talk looks at the development of churchyard and cemetery monuments, who gets memorialised, how and when, and discusses many ways they can help us research the past.
